On behalf of the University Women's Club, as President for 2011-2012, I "Welcome" you to our Website.
Our Club, founded in 1895, is a group of wonderful women who have found friendship through social, service and cultural activities.
We also actively support scholarships for OSU women through members' donations as well as proceeds from our Buckeye Bargains Thrift Shop which this year contributed over $14,000. Our University Women's Club (UWC) Scholarship Fund of Ohio State, the UWC Scholarship Fund honoring Marjorie K. Fawcett, and our Music Group's Nina Weigel Scholarship Fund were proud to expend a total of $24,799.00 from the 2010-2011 endowment funds.
These scholarships are awarded through the Office of Student Financial Aid of The Ohio State University. Recipients are selected for their academic achievement and financial need with particular attention to, but not limited to, female students enrolled at the OSU Columbus campus. Each year, we honor the recipients at our November luncheon which is held at the OSU Faculty Club on campus.
We currently enjoy 20 Interest Groups that are as diverse as our membership. These groups range from Antiques to Yarns and Stitches. On this website you will find a complete list of these groups, their stated purpose, and links with which to contact the chairmen.
